*Overview*
We are seeking an experienced *HVAC/R Journeyman* to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience working with *boilers, commercial HVAC systems, and supermarket/commercial refrigeration.*
As an HVAC/R Journeyman with ICOM Mechanical Solutions, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing a variety of commercial HVAC and refrigeration equipment. This position requires strong technical and diagnostic skills, the ability to work independently, and a commitment to providing high-quality service to our customers.
We are looking for a knowledgeable and dependable Journeyman who takes pride in their work and is comfortable troubleshooting complex mechanical and refrigeration systems in commercial environments.
*Key Responsibilities*
* Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair commercial HVAC and refrigeration systems. * Service and troubleshoot *supermarket and commercial refrigeration equipment*, including rack refrigeration systems. * Diagnose and repair *commercial HVAC equipment*, including rooftop units, make-up air units, heating and cooling systems, and associated controls. * Service, troubleshoot, and maintain *boilers and hydronic heating systems*. * Perform preventative maintenance to ensure equipment operates safely, reliably, and efficiently. * Diagnose equipment failures and identify appropriate repair solutions. * Read and interpret specifications, drawings, schematics, and blueprints. * Conduct inspections and testing to assess equipment condition and identify potential concerns. * Ensure all work complies with applicable safety standards, codes, manufacturer specifications, and regulations. * Maintain accurate documentation of service calls, inspections, repairs, and maintenance activities. * Communicate clearly with customers regarding equipment issues, repairs, and recommendations. * Collaborate with technicians, supervisors, dispatch, and project teams to complete work efficiently. * Provide professional, customer-focused service at all times. * Participate in ongoing training to remain current with industry standards, equipment, controls, and emerging technologies.
*Qualifications & Requirements*
* *Journeyperson Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Mechanic certification required.* * *Red Seal certification preferred.* * Minimum *3 years of experience with supermarket/commercial refrigeration, *including rack refrigeration systems*.* * Minimum *3 years of experience servicing and troubleshooting commercial HVAC systems.* * Experience with *boilers and hydronic heating systems *is strongly preferred. * Strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills. * Ability to read electrical diagrams, mechanical drawings, schematics, and equipment specifications. * Valid driver's license and ability to travel to customer sites as required. * Ability to work independently and as part of a team. * Commitment to safe work practices and quality workmanship.
