This role requires mechanical knowledge and proficiency in using hand and power tools to restore vehicles to their pre-accident condition. The Auto Body Technician will work in a fast-paced environment, ensuring high-quality repairs while maintaining safety standards.
*Duties*
* Assess vehicle damage and determine necessary repairs. * Utilize mechanical knowledge to perform bodywork, including welding, sanding, and painting. * Operate hand tools and power tools effectively to complete repairs. * Collaborate with other technicians and staff to ensure timely completion of projects. * Maintain a clean and organized work area to promote safety and efficiency. * Perform heavy lifting as required when handling vehicle parts and materials. * Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in automotive repair techniques.
*Qualifications*
* Proven experience as an Auto Body Technician or similar role in a dealership or automotive repair shop. * Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot and solve problems effectively. * Proficient in using hand tools, power tools, and other equipment related to auto body repair. * Ability to perform heavy lifting and work on your feet for extended periods. * Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship. * Strong communication skills and the ability to work well within a team environment.
