Stuart and Hill Construction, is a general contracting company offering construction and remediation services for the residential and commercial markets. We service the Simcoe/Muskoka region. We are looking for Skilled Construction Labourers to join our growing team! Worksites are across Simcoe County and Muskoka. We offer competitive compensation based on previous applicable experience.
*CONSTRUCTION LABOURER*
We are looking for an experienced candidate who has demonstrated residential / commercial renovation and demolition skills, initiative and drive, is a team player with a positive attitude and good communication skills.
*RESPONSIBLE FOR THE FOLLOWING:*
* Assist in the loading and unloading of materials and equipment. * Assist with tasks, including but not limited to construction, maintenance or repair work. * Assist in the setup and cleanup of job sites to ensure a safe and organized working environment, including general maintenance and cleaning of work areas. * Perform manual labor tasks including lifting, carrying, and moving materials as needed. * Follow instructions from supervisors to complete tasks accurately. * Operate basic hand tools, power tools and machinery as needed. * Support team members in various construction activities. * Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations while on the job site. * Report any safety hazards or equipment malfunctions to management promptly.
*REQUIREMENTS/SKILLS:*
* Valid drivers licence. * Have working phone with data, for sign in availability/notes for jobs. * PPE - CSA approved footwear, safety glasses, etc. * Previous experience in labor-intensive roles is preferred but not required. * Ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 pounds) and perform physically demanding tasks. * Strong attention to detail and ability to follow directions accurately. * Good communication skills and ability to work well within a team environment. * Willingness to complete training to facilitate hazardous material remediation/abatements * Willingness to learn new skills and take on additional responsibilities as needed. * Positive attitude, reliability and solid work ethic. * Proper behavior and respect for clients and company. * Represent the company on site in a presentable and professional manner. * Able to work with minimal supervision. * Understanding of safety procedures in a labor environment.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $19.00-$24.00 per year
