About this role
Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate. Tasks: Operate cash register. Process money, cheques and credit/debit card payments. Scan items. Tabulate total payment for goods or services required. Receive payment for goods or services. Greet customers. Wrap or place merchandise in bags. Provide customer service. Verify the age of customers when selling lottery tickets, alcohol or tobacco products. Experience: No experience (will train). Support for youths: Offers on-the-job training tailored to youth. Offers mentorship, coaching and/or networking opportunities for youth. Provides awareness training to employees to create a welcoming work environment for youth.
