Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate. Tasks: Discuss work with supervisor. Inspect motor in operation. Review work orders . Test automotive systems and components. Adjust, repair or replace parts and components of automotive systems. Test and adjust repaired systems to manufacturer's specifications. Perform scheduled maintenance service. Test and adjust units to specifications. Diagnose faults or malfunctions using computerized and other testing equipment to determine extent of repair required. Diagnose and isolate faults on engines and motors. Area of specialization: Electrical and electronic system. Diagnostics. Alignment, steering and suspension. Brake system.
