Read blueprints, drawings and specifications to determine work requirements . Prepare estimates for general expenses and overheads. Advise on tendering procedures. Analyze tenders and recommend awards. Set up cost monitoring and reporting systems. Prepare and maintain directory of supplies and trade contractors. Liaise, consult and communicate with engineers, architects, owners, contractors and subcontractors on changes and adjustments to cost estimates. Computer and technology knowledge: MS Excel. Project size estimating experience: 0 - $100,000. $1,500,001 - $4,000,000. $4,000,001 - $8,000,000. $8,000,001 +. $100,001 - $500,000. $500,001 - $1,500,000.
