Education: College/CEGEP. Work setting: Private practice. Tasks: Administer tests using equipment, instruct patients on test procedures and record results, and monitor, check and calibrate auditory equipment. Position patients for treatments by chiropractor or machine. Set up and dismantle equipment. Operate and maintain sterilization equipment and instrumentation for re-use according to standardized safety practices. Perform general clerical duties. Process files and paperwork. Teach and/or supervise exercises to patients. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : Licensure by a provincial/territorial regulatory body for Hearing Instrument Practitioner.
