Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate. Work site environment: Beef cattle ranching and farming, including feedlots. Dusty. Odours. Livestock. Work setting: Rural area. Staff accommodation provided. Tasks: Clear and collect brush and debris from fields, pens and other work areas. Direct farm feed inventory activities . Handling animals. Monitor the calving process. Monitoring animal health. Organize tasks to accomplish the work. Assist in the development and implementation of farm safety and bio-security procedures. Co-ordinate and supervise the work of general farm workers and harvesting labourers. Ensure farm safety and bio-security procedures are followed. Formulate feeding program. Maintain livestock performance records. Select livestock for sale. Supervise and oversee breeding and other livestock-related programs. Maintain work records and logs. Area of specialization: Beef cattle. Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year. Other benefits: Transportation provided by employer.
