About this role
Education: Degree in medicine, dentistry, veterinary medicine or optometry. Tasks: Diagnose dental diseases . Examine patients' teeth, gums and surrounding tissue. Instruct patients on oral hygiene . Restore, extract and replace diseased and decayed teeth. Perform oral surgery, periodontal surgery and other treatments. Supervise staff. Supervision: 1 to 2 people. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : Licensure by provincial or territorial authorities. National Dental Examining Board of Canada Certification. Area of specialization: Endodontics. Oral pathology. Oral radiology. Oral surgery. Orthodontics. Pediatric dentistry. Periodontics. Prosthodontics. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Attention to detail.
