About this role
Education: College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years. or equivalent experience. Tasks: Assess potential institutional, business or individual client markets. Calculate premiums. Establish client insurance coverage. Identify potential markets. Ensure appropriate forms, medical examinations and other policy requirements are completed. Monitor insurance claims and respond to clients' enquiries. Provide customer service. Provide information concerning group and individual insurance packages, the range of risk coverage, benefits paid and other policy features. Sell automobile, fire, health, life, property, marine, aircraft and other types of insurance. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : Registered Insurance Brokers of Ontario (RIBO) licence. Insurance experience: Property/casualty insurance. Commercial insurance. Group insurance. Automobile insurance. House insurance. Tenant insurance. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Tight deadlines. Attention to detail. Personal suitability: Client focus.
