Job Summary
The GATE Energy Intern program exposes engineering undergraduates to projects spanning a wide range of engineering disciplines critical to the energy industries. As a Commissioning Engineering Intern, you will gain hands-on experience working alongside a team of experienced engineers to support the design, testing, and implementation of engineering projects. This role provides exposure to real-world applications of engineering principles while contributing to ongoing projects and operational improvements.
Education and Experience
• Currently enrolled in an Engineering program
• Previous Internships strongly preferred
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
• Ensure correct project/deliverable documentation
• Present at monthly meetings and lunch and learn sessions, as required
• Develop relationships and mentorship with GATE Energy staff to facilitate learning opportunities through project deliverables
• Gain hands-on experience while employed with GATE Energy
• Contribute to department-specific projects and/or tasks and initiatives
• Align academic knowledge with practical industry applications and provide internal value to GATE Energy's existing processes or newly proposed processes
• Gain familiarity with technical standards, safety protocols, and project management
• Develop communication skills within project teams
• Responsible for adhering to GATE policies and procedures in a positive manner
• Proactively work to maintain a positive and professional culture with GATE Energy
• Other duties as assigned
