About this role
The waste coordinator is responsible for creating processes and adhering to SC Regulations regarding producing, storage, packaging, and shipment of Hazardous and Non-Hazardous Waste. This position will report to the Site Manager.
• Do daily floor checks of all satellite and accumulation stations in the facility
• Check spill drums for supplies, record, and file data
• Removes liquid and solid hazardous waste for each location in the facility daily, compact, weigh, label, record data, and transport to hazardous area
• Removes liquid and solid non-hazardous waste for each location in the facility daily, compact, weigh, label, record data, and transport to non-hazardous area
• Create and maintain schedules for monthly shipments of waste to the contracted hazardous waste facility
• Create and maintain schedules for fluorescent bulbs and batteries for recycling
• Record and document hazardous and non-hazardous waste dates throughout facility and maintain files
• Complies and file all hazardous and non-hazardous waste manifesting
• Inspect hazardous waste building weekly, record and maintain files
• Develop and file waste profiles
• Inspect all stacks for air emissions, record, and file
• Supplies the proper labeled drums to at satellite locations
• Supply all labels required throughout the facility
• Perform daily/weekly floor inspections, record, and file
• Maintain active hazardous chemical list in the facility
• Collect all filter change logs and check for completeness
• MSDS management
• Maintains scrap waste log, weekly
• Assist with the recycle and garbage pickup with MSS
• Work with supervisors to ensure all procedures are be followed daily
• Conducts training when necessary (forklift, Haz communication, etc.)
• Collect and organize data for the local POTW and DHEC audits daily
• Emergency response training and membership

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
• 5 years previous Manufacturing Experience
• Haz and non–haz waste and safety experience a plus
• RCRA, DOT certification required
• Ability to lead shift work
• Excellent Safety, Quality and Attendance History
• Mechanical aptitude with manufacturing processes
• Computer skills required, Maintain waste schedules, etc.
• Ability to be on-call and work any schedule as requested.
