About this role

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Assemble vehicle structures, drivetrains, battery packs, wiring harnesses, suspension systems, and interior components according to work instructions or engineering drawings

• Safely handle and install high-voltage components following lockout/tagout and de-energization procedures

• Route and secure wiring harnesses, coolant lines, and control systems for EV-specific assemblies

• Perform torque checks, alignments, and fit-and-finish inspections to ensure build quality

• Use hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring equipment to perform assembly tasks

• Follow build schedules and maintain documentation of completed work and any deviations

• Work collaboratively with engineering, quality, and testing teams to identify and resolve build issues

• Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring compliance with 5S and safety standards

• Participate in training for EV-specific assembly methods, safety requirements, and product updates

• Repair, maintain, troubleshoot, and service electrical powertrain and charging infrastructure using skills and tools that range from computer diagnostics to basic electrical tools – able to use a digital voltmeter, vector canalyzer (or some level of experience in failure diagnosis)

• Keep accurate and detailed records of work performed and parts used

• Assist with training and mentoring of new technicians, sharing knowledge and expertise

• While the position may occasionally require additional hours, overtime will be limited and is subject to prior approval based on business needs

• Ability to track work through Jira and other Atlassian tools

QUALIFICATIONS:

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training in automotive, electrical, or mechanical fields preferred

• Familiarity with EV components such as battery systems, inverters, motors, and charging systems (preferred)

• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, assembly diagrams, and work instructions

• Experience with torque tools, precision measuring devices, and basic electrical testing equipment

• Strong focus on safety, especially when working with high-voltage systems

• Good communication skills and ability to work in a team-oriented production environment

• Valid driver's license

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks

• Lift and move components up to 50 lbs, sometimes with assistance

• Work in various positions including bending, kneeling, and overhead assembly

• Use of PPE including safety glasses, gloves, and high-voltage protective gear
