About this role
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
• Set up and operate assigned coil-processing equipment.
• Load, unload, position, and adjust steel coils and other materials.
• Monitor equipment and make adjustments as needed.
• Follow work orders and customer specifications.
• Inspect materials to ensure quality standards are met.
• Accurately use tape measures and other measuring tools.
• Package, palletize, label, and band finished materials.
• Operate forklifts and overhead cranes after completing company-provided training and certification.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Follow safety procedures and wear required personal protective equipment.
• Immediately report accidents, incidents, and unsafe conditions.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Manufacturing, machine-operation, steel-processing, or warehouse experience preferred; willing to train the right candidate.
• Ability to read and understand work orders, instructions, and safety procedures.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions in English.
• Ability to accurately use a tape measure and other measuring tools or willingness to learn.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality and safety.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT
• Prolonged standing and walking.
• Frequent bending, reaching, twisting, and crouching.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to safely enter and exit forklifts.
• Ability to work near moving machinery and in areas with continuous loud noise.
