About this role
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
• Safely operate forklifts, man lifts, and overhead cranes.
• Load and unload materials from trucks and railcars.
• Move and store materials in designated areas.
• Build wooden skids according to specifications.
• Use a tape measure and other measuring tools.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Follow safety procedures and wear required personal protective equipment.
• Immediately report accidents, incidents, and unsafe conditions.
• Assist team members as needed.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Warehouse, manufacturing, steel-processing, or machine-operation experience preferred; willing to train the right candidate.
• Ability to read and understand work orders, instructions, and safety procedures.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions in English.
• Ability to accurately use a tape measure or willingness to learn.
• Ability to operate required equipment after completing company-provided training and certification.
• Strong commitment to safety, quality, and dependability.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT
• Prolonged standing and walking.
• Frequent bending, reaching, twisting, and crouching.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to safely enter and exit forklifts.
• Ability to work near moving machinery and in areas with continuous loud noise.
