HKN Hamrin Ltd. is a privately held, independent oil and gas company operating in the Republic of Iraq. The Hamrin Block is comprised of 535 km2 and contains one producing field. Position Summary
The Electrical/Instrument Production Engineer role will provide electrical and instrumentation expertise to troubleshoot, design and supervise vendors and construction contractors in the implementation of approved modifications, while supporting the maintenance team as required. The position requires a strong maintenance and construction background and the ability to work within the limitations of extreme weather conditions.
Main Duties & Responsibilities
• Electrical or instrument technician with strong maintenance and construction background to join dynamic office team to troubleshoot, design and supervise vendors for the install of decided modification.
• Ability to take on tasks for maintenance team when they get overloaded.
• The ability to work in and understand the limitations of extremes of weather.
• Primary location will be in Erbil office but will require frequent site visits for surveying scopes and to supervise construction contractors for the decided modification.

• Understand all isolations/de-isolations as required by defined modification scope
• Maximizing the Instrument, Control, and Safety Systems to safely and efficiently contribute to delivering optimum site production.
• Ensuring safe and efficient operation of allocated Electrical equipment, systems, and installation areas.
• Diagnosing and rectifying faults to maximize equipment availability, identify spares requirement and initiate ordering of same. Monitoring and controlling works by vendors/contractors within his/her remit.
• Raising work orders and work permits and preparing work-packs, as appropriate to progress work, also for vendors and contractors
Decision–Making Authority
• Locally shutdown all or parts of designated area of work when abnormal running or unsafe conditions arise or are observed.
Working and Other Reporting Relationships
• Work closely with all other site personnel.
• Ensure production personnel are fully aware of ongoing activities.
Minimum Qualifications
Minimum Educational, Technical Qualifications/Certifications Required
• OND / ONC/ HNC/HND or University Level
Minimum Experience Required
• Must have previous experience in an either individually Electrical or Instrumentation role but candidates with E&I dual role will be preferred/
• Minimum 5 years' experience with oil and gas industry
