Basic Function: This Staff Accountant, Operations internship role will be part-time and provide support for various monthly and weekly accounting and reporting activities within the organization. Responsibilities include monthly closing support, financial statement preparation, weekly forecasting, journal entry preparation, balance sheet reconciliations, and assisting management with ad hoc financial analysis and reporting. This position will support the ongoing functions of the Manufacturing Finance team on a part-time basis, approximately 20 hours per week.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Assist with monthly accounting close and financial statement preparation for assigned locations

• Support weekly forecasting processes and profit estimation planning

• Prepare weekly and monthly journal entries to maintain accurate financial records

• Perform monthly reconciliations of key balance sheet accounts with appropriate supporting documentation

• Assist in the preparation and analysis of financial reports as requested by management

• Support budget and forecast updates as needed

• Provide ad hoc financial and analytical support to management as required

Education/Experience:

• BS/BA Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field in process

• Relevant accounting or finance experience preferred

• Experience with financial reporting, forecasting, and account reconciliations

• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail

• Excellent communication and organizational skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel

• Experience with JD Edwards ERP systems preferred

• Ability to work independently and manage responsibilities in a part-time environment
