About this role

Cardiovascular Logistics is seeking an Endovascular Fellow to join First Coast Cardiovascular Institute (FCCI), a highly respected and well-established, physician-led cardiovascular practice serving the greater Jacksonville region and surrounding communities. This is a unique opportunity for a physician who has completed an interventional cardiology fellowship and is looking to take the next step in their training through focused, hands-on experience in endovascular and peripheral interventions.

Led by Dr. Yazan Khatib, this advanced fellowship is intentionally limited to one fellow per year, providing an exceptional level of individualized training, mentorship, and procedural exposure within a high-volume cardiovascular practice.

First Coast Cardiovascular Institute (FCCI) offers a collaborative environment where fellows work alongside experienced interventional cardiologists while gaining exposure to both office-based laboratory procedures and hospital-based care. We are a growing cardiovascular practice with nine locations throughout the region, including Florida locations in Jacksonville, Orange Park, Fruit Cove, Palatka, and Waycross, Georgia.

Our cardiovascular group includes:

• 4 General Cardiologists

• 10 Interventional Cardiologists

• 2 Electrophysiologists

• 19 APCs

• 4 Sleep Medicine/Pulmonology physicians

• 2 Wound Care physicians

Opportunity Overview

• One fellow selected each year, creating a highly personalized training experience

• Yearlong advanced endovascular fellowship designed for physicians who have completed Interventional Cardiology training

• Direct mentorship and procedural training with Dr. Yazan Khatib and experienced interventional cardiologists

• Hands-on exposure to peripheral and endovascular procedures in both OBL and hospital settings

• Training schedule that alternates between one week in the OBL and one week of hospital rounding

• Experience across two physician-owned office-based laboratories

• Opportunity to train in a practice with ASC expansion planned

• Exposure to a high-volume cardiovascular practice with approximately 800–1,000 new patients per month

• Strong support from experienced Advanced Practice Clinicians (APCs) and clinical teams

• Opportunity to build advanced procedural expertise while working within an established and growing cardiovascular organization

Fellowship Structure

• Designed for physicians who have completed an Interventional Cardiology fellowship

• One fellow accepted per year

• One-year fellowship, with select exceptions considered

• Alternating schedule provides dedicated time for OBL experience, hospital rounding and patient management.

• Training with multiple experienced interventional physicians

• Exposure to both office-based and hospital-based endovascular care

• Strong APC and clinical team support

• Valuable exposure to a broad range of endovascular and peripheral interventions.

• Office-based laboratory training and hospital-based care, allowing you to develop both procedural expertise and clinical judgment in different care settings

Qualifications

• Have successfully completed an Interventional Cardiology fellowship

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in the appropriate cardiovascular specialty

• Have a strong interest in endovascular medicine and peripheral intervention

• Demonstrate a commitment to advanced procedural training and clinical excellence

• Be dedicated to delivering compassionate, patient-centered care

• Be eager to learn within a collaborative, physician-led cardiovascular practice

• Have completed a U.S. residency program

• Are eligible for Florida medical licensure

• DO NOT require J1 Visa sponsorship
