INFORMATION SECURITY RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Specialist – SAP ABAP Modeling will be responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing scalable SAP S/4HANA solutions. Working within Bristlecone India’s S4 HANA Technical – Delivery team, you will collaborate with functional consultants and business stakeholders to deliver high-quality enhancements, interfaces, and performance-tuned applications.
• Design, develop, and enhance ABAP objects (reports, BAPIs, BADIs, enhancements, classes) in S/4HANA. • Create and maintain interfaces and integrations (IDocs, ALE, OData, SOAP/REST) with external systems. • Perform debugging, root-cause analysis, and performance tuning of ABAP code. • Collaborate with functional consultants to translate business requirements into technical specifications. • Support migration and conversion activities to S/4HANA, including custom code adaptation. • Conduct unit testing, code reviews, and ensure compliance with coding standards. • Provide production support and resolve incidents related to ABAP components. • Participate in design workshops and provide technical guidance to junior developers. • Document technical specifications, functional designs, and knowledge-transfer materials. • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and adopt best practices in SAP development.
• Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field. • Minimum 5 years of hands-on ABAP development experience in SAP ECC/S/4HANA. • Strong expertise in ABAP OO, enhancements, BAPIs, BADIs, and ALV reporting. • Experience with integration technologies (IDoc, ALE, OData, SOAP/REST, RFC). • Proven skills in debugging, performance optimization, and code profiling. • Knowledge of S/4HANA data models, CDS views, and ABAP Core Data Services. • Familiarity with SAP NetWeaver, SAP Gateway, and SAP Fiori/UI5 is a plus. • Ability to work closely with functional consultants and business stakeholders. • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and documentation skills. • Willingness to work in a fast-paced delivery environment and support on-call rotations.
