Requirements: We are looking for someone who has recently graduated, or is about to graduate, in AI, Machine Learning, Computer Science, Data Science or a related degree.We want a good understanding of core AI and Machine Learning concepts, including Large Language Models (LLMs).We need demonstrable practical experience using Git, Python and SQL, gained through university, personal or commercial projects.We are looking for experience experimenting with AI or machine learning outside university coursework.We want someone who has kept up with developments in AI and enjoys exploring new tools and technologies.We value personal projects, LLM experimentation, hackathon participation, GitHub contributions, or self-directed exploration of AI.We are looking for a naturally curious problem solver.We need someone who can explain technical concepts clearly to people without a technical background.We want someone who is comfortable working as part of a team and learning from more experienced people.We are interested in candidates who understand not just how AI works, but how businesses can use it effectively.Desirable: exposure to one or more of PostgreSQL, Linux, Java, JavaScript, APIs or Cloud Computing (Azure, GCP). Responsibilities: Work alongside our experienced AI consultants to design, develop and deliver AI solutions for clients across public and private sector industries.Understand client challenges and explore where AI can make a genuine difference.Research and evaluate emerging AI and machine learning technologies.Help design AI solutions from initial ideas through to implementation, while keeping data protection and compliance in mind.Build prototypes, proof-of-concepts and demonstrations.Work with technologies such as generative AI, LLMs, Python, APIs and data.Assist with prompt engineering, AI workflows and AI-powered applications.Analyse data and help evaluate the performance and usefulness of AI solutions.Support client workshops and presentations.Document technical approaches and communicate findings clearly.Learn to assess AI solutions for accuracy, privacy, security, fairness and responsible use.Learn from senior consultants and gradually take ownership of your own areas of work. We are a growing AI team offering an exciting opportunity for a Junior AI Developer to take the first step in their technical career. This is a home-working role with a requirement to work in our Birmingham City Centre office a couple of times a month as requested. The role is Monday to Friday, 8.30am to 5.00pm, with some flexibility when on site. We offer a salary of £25,000 per annum, plus 25 days holiday and Bank Holidays, pension, private healthcare after successful completion of the probationary period, death in service scheme after successful completion of the probationary period, and great career development and training opportunities.
