About the role: Reports to Manager

The purpose of this role is to focus on transactions, compliance and investment AML related matters for a single large client (the “Client”).

The successful candidate will support the delivery of high-quality outputs in relation to various processes followed by the sub-team, to deliver a positive impact on the overall performance of the sub-team and to promote excellent service to the Client.

Key responsibilities:

• As a member of the sub-team, to act as a point of contact on investment transactional activity, underlying investment AML and compliance related matters with the Client, with the support from your Manager

• Collaborating internally with other team members, co-ordinating the collation of data and working closely with Aztec’s centralised Compliance and AML teams where applicable

• Be involved in the coordination of regulatory filings for the entities under administration

• Co-ordinate the establishment of various fund structures, to include registry submissions, internal system updates, review and arranging execution of constitutional documentation, board approvals etc.

• Arrange for the opening of bank accounts and the processing of payments via banking systems

• Assist with the closing of investment purchases, financing and loan drawdowns, divestments and sales

• Liaise with underlying investments to resolve any AML/KYC queries in relation to the entities under administration

• To assist with the co-ordination of meetings, drafting minutes, action logs and working on related projects impacting the wider team

• Contribute towards the team and the business, via ensuring robust adherence to policies and procedures in respect of all transaction related processes, alongside compliance and regulatory matters for the client facing team

• Ensure Aztec internal control frameworks are followed in full

• Assist with team-wide administration deliverables such as financial accounts distribution

• Liaise with the Client and various intermediaries on a daily basis

• Maintain accurate records on company systems and process timely updates

Skills, knowledge, expertise:

• Some previous client facing experience within the financial services sector

• The candidate will be expected to be studying towards a relevant professional qualification (preferably CGI/ICSA certificate level or equivalent)

• Some understanding of Jersey funds regulation and codes (FSB, JPF, CIF)

• General understanding of fund structures (limited partnerships and companies)

• Good attention to detail

• Computer literacy skills

• Good interpersonal skills are required to develop close working relationships with colleagues and business contacts
