You will find we offer more than the basics to create an inclusive and dynamic work environment at our various locations.

Purpose & Impact: Join Athene's Corporate Development team and play an important role in expanding our reinsurance and funding agreement business across Asia. As Manager, Corporate Development, you will help originate, structure, and execute capital-efficient reinsurance and funding agreement solutions, including funding agreement-backed notes (FABN), working closely with business development colleagues and cross-functional partners across Athene and Apollo. This is an opportunity to contribute directly to Athene's growth in the APAC region, leveraging our scale, innovative solutions, and strategic partnership with Apollo. Collaborate with actuarial, investments/ALM, legal, tax, finance, risk, and operations teams to evaluate transaction economics, key trade-offs, capital considerations, and structural alternatives. • Transaction Execution: Manage the execution of assigned transactions from agreed structure through negotiation, documentation, closing, onboarding, and operational handoff. Coordinate stakeholders, resolve execution challenges, and maintain momentum to achieve timely, high-quality outcomes. • Pipeline & Project Coordination: Support VP/SVP leadership in managing the transaction pipeline by maintaining execution roadmaps, tracking milestones, coordinating priorities, and facilitating timely decisions across teams and geographies. • Cross-Functional Diligence & Risk Assessment: Coordinate transaction diligence, including evaluating product features, identifying risks and mitigants, and assessing investment and ALM considerations in collaboration with Apollo investment teams and Athene stakeholders.

What You Need to Bring:

• 6+ years of relevant experience in life insurance or reinsurance, actuarial transaction work, corporate development, or investment banking focused on the insurance and financial services sectors, or relevant experience preferred • Strong quantitative and analytical capabilities, including an actuarial background (FSA, FIA, ASA, or equivalent) or comparable quantitative finance expertise, with experience evaluating transaction structures, economics, and execution requirements preferred. • Working knowledge of capital, accounting, and regulatory considerations relevant to insurance and reinsurance transactions, including frameworks such as Solvency II, ICS, GAAP, and IFRS 17.
