Job summary

This role is fixed term for 12 months (Maternity cover)

Windsor House Group Practice is a large GP Practice with 3 x surgeries based in Leeds (Morley, Churwell and Drighlington) with a list size of over 20,000 patients.

We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic person to join our clinical team as a Healthcare Assistant.

The role is very hands on and requires a high degree of accuracy, confidentiality, and ability to perform all the task require, which includes bending, lifting and moving.

Hours of work required are approximately 20 hours over 3 days (Wednesday, Thursday and Friday).

Weight, height& BP checks Testing and handling of clinical specimens e.g. urine dipstick NHS Health checks Health promotion Dressings & treatment room procedures Diabetic foot checks ECG's QOF reviews Flu, pneumonia, B12, Shingles, injections Ensure adequate infection control procedures in treatment and consulting rooms Phlebotomy Vaccine / cold chain storage, monitoring and recording

We are a very friendly and forward thinking Practice within the Leeds area with a list size of approximately 20000 patients.

Our multi-disciplinary team includes 12 GP's, 10 registrars, 2 Clinical Pharmacists and Pharmacists Technicians, Practice Nurses, HCAs all supported by a strong administration and reception team(s). Our aim is to deliver good quality healthcare to our patients.

Participate in local initiatives to enhance service delivery and patient care. Support and participate in shared learning within the practice.

Person Specification

Qualifications Essential

NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care Phelbotomy GCSE Maths and English grade D or above Good standard of general education Use of SystmOne

Desirable

Experience of working in a Primary Care environment
