Evelina Community Occupational Therapy have the opportunity to recruit topermanent and part time Band 6 posts.
The Evelina Community Children's Occupational Therapy Service is an integral part of specialist services that provides care to the population of Lambeth and Southwark. Southwark and Lambeth are multicultural and vibrant inner South London boroughs. The service is dynamic and works closely with multidisciplinary and multiagency colleagues.

Main duties of the job
The post holders will have the opportunity to work across our community sites with Evelina Community OT team based at Sunshine House Child Development Centre in Camberwell, Southwark and Mary Sheridan Child development Centre, Kennington, Lambeth.
The successful applicants will be working within a large team of community children occupational therapists that support services to the Evelina community population in Lambeth and Southwark and will also be an integral part of the experts@hand multidisciplinary team supporting SEND reforms across these two boroughs.
You will have the opportunity to see children 0-19 across a range of conditions such as complex physical disabilities, Autism, Developmental Coordination Disorder (DCD), and deliver blocks of assessment and therapy intervention within the service model.
Within our service we use the Canadian Model of Occupational Performance and Engagement (CMOP-e) to guide our clinical reasoning and practice- keeping a clear focus on occupational outcomes.

To provide an advanced standard of occupational therapy assessment, treatment, management and advice to paediatric patients aged 0-19, their families and carers within the community setting. The caseload consists of children with a wide range of development difficulties and/or disabilities, many of whom may have very complex or multiple pathologies. To work as a lone practitioner, unsupervised, and at times in conjunction with less senior team colleagues across a variety of locations within the community including patients homes, early years settings, schools and clinics to meet the needs of the individual child.
To work as part of MDT providing universal and targeted support to assist teaching workforce with supporting the inclusion and integration of children with additional needs into education and school settings.
Person Specification
Knowledge/Qualifications Essential
State registered Occupational Therapist (Health and Care Professions Council) Recognised training course for an Occupational therapist (e.g. PGDip or degree).
Desirable
Member of Royal College of Occupational Therapy Member of Children's and Young Person special interest group
Skills Essential
Able to organise and manage own caseload. Able to work without direct supervision Able to present information, written and orally, in a clear and logical manner. Able to set collaborative goals with client's and families. Have an awareness or understanding of Safeguarding Ability to cope with stressful situations. Able to work closely with team members. Be responsive to change and ideas- adapt to new systems, flexible working patterns. Ability to work from home when required.

Experience Essential
