Main duties of the job
Work as part of a team to develop individual care plans through comprehensive assessment and recovery planning. Manage a caseload of complex cases requiring NMP oversight of treatment- utilising a range of options such as methadone and buvidal. Deliver a range of treatment options including clinical and psychosocial interventions in both a group and 1-1 setting. Work collaboratively with the GP's, other Nurses and the management team to shape a high-quality service to patients. Provide leadership to junior staff by maintaining professional standards, ensuring adherence to all relevant policies and procedures to ensure the delivery of high-quality care. To undertake the duties of non-medical prescribing within the substance misuse service ensuring compliance with Spectrum's policies. This includes being involved with shift planning, taking appropriate action to adjust staffing levels and to prioritise the workload in accordance with patient need, service demand and the availability of staff. The post holder will be involved with assessing, diagnosing, providing advice and administering care to patients. You will also be expected to demonstrate knowledge, skills and understanding of health issues and treatment options. There is an expectation of shift work as you may cover our reception department, providing essential SMS assessments and prescribing for patients requiring stabilisation/detoxes.

1st level Registered Nurse with current registration with the UK Nursing Midwifery Council (NMC). RCGP level 1 Evidence of Continuous Professional Development (CPD). Independent Nurse Prescriber Qualification
