Hours can be worked over 3 or 4 days per week

Salary £30,000 FTE per annum, pro rata for part time hours

At East Anglia's Children's Hospices (EACH), every donation helps us provide vital care and support to children, young people and families across East Anglia.

We're looking for a Senior Individual Giving Officer to help grow and develop our Individual Giving programme. Do you have fundraising, direct marketing or supporter engagement experience and the ability to use creativity, insight and data to build lasting relationships with supporters?

Working closely with the Individual Giving Manager and Individual Giving & Legacy Officer, you'll support the planning, delivery and evaluation of fundraising campaigns that inspire people to support EACH through regular giving, cash appeals, lottery participation and gifts in Wills.

About the role:

In this varied role, you'll:

Support the development and delivery of fundraising and direct marketing campaigns across a range of channels. Create and enhance supporter journeys that encourage long-term engagement and loyalty. Analyse campaign performance and use insights to identify opportunities for improvement and growth. Work collaboratively with colleagues across Fundraising, Marketing and Communications. Help ensure supporter communications are engaging, relevant and supporter-focused. Maintain accurate supporter records and handle personal data securely and confidentially.

About you:

We're interested in hearing from people who can bring: Experience of fundraising, direct marketing, marketing or supporter/customer engagement activities. The ability to plan and deliver projects or campaigns within agreed timescales and budgets. Experience of using data and insight to evaluate performance and inform decision-making. Effective written and verbal communication skills. The ability to build positive working relationships and work collaboratively with others. Good organisational skills and the ability to manage a varied workload. Experience of using Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Excel, Word and Teams.

Acquisition and Retention

Support the Individual Giving Manager to plan, deliver and optimise inspiring fundraising appeals and direct marketing campaigns across regular giving, cash appeals, lottery recruitment and gifts in Wills, helping to grow income and supporter engagement.Work collaboratively with the Marketing & Communications team to develop, deliver and evaluate integrated digital campaigns across email and social media channels.Design, enhance and deliver supporter-centred stewardship journeys that strengthen relationships, encourage long-term engagement and increase supporter lifetime value.Data Analysis, Insight and ReportingMonitor, analyse and report on campaign performance and key performance indicators (KPIs), using data and sector insights to identify opportunities and drive continuous improvement.Ensure Individual Giving content is effective and up-to-date on all EACH communication channelsAdministrationKeep supporters details updated on the fundraising database accurately and promptlyHandle sensitive data such as bank information confidentially and securelyTo act at all times in accordance with all internal and external Data Protection regulations

Person Specification

Qualifications Essential

- Effective communication skills appropriate to a range of audiences both written and verbally - IT literate with experience of using Microsoft Office applications, particularly Outlook, Excel and Word, Outlook and Teams - Understanding of Data Protection

Desirable

- Knowledge of Gift Aid, Charity Law, Fundraising Code of Practice, and other relevant marketing or fundraising standards across the UK

Other Requirements Essential

- Access to transport in order to travel to our three sites for meetings

Desirable

- Current full, valid driving licence

Skills and Abilities Essential

- The ability to work accurately and methodically with data and written information, demonstrating attention to detail - Clear communication style and effective listening skills - Skilled in developing creative, compelling and audience-focused communications that inspire engagement and action - Analytical skills, with the ability to interpret and use data to inform decision-making - Confident working with numerical information and data, using analysis and insight to evaluate performance and identify opportunities for growth - Organised, with the ability to prioritise a varied workload to meet deadlines - Collaborative team player with the ability to work proactively, demonstrate initiative and take action to solve problems

Experience Essential

- Direct marketing or other relevant marketing experience - Planning and delivering campaigns within agreed timescales and budgets - Able to work proactively both independently and as part of a team, with a solution-focused approach - Analysing and reporting on campaigns and channel performance

Desirable

- Use of a fundraising database or charity CRM - Data segmentation supporting targeted communications - Charity direct marketing experience - Understanding of digital platforms for delivery and marketing of projects/campaigns
