Job summary
Working with colleagues across the system, the Creative Health Lead is responsible for leading the development, co-ordination and delivery of the creative health programme including public consultation and co-production, for a range of neighbourhood health services.
To lead the development and delivery of creative health and engagement strategies to support the delivery of neighbourhood health initiatives including prevention, personalised care and social prescribing programmes.
To work strategically and identify interoperability between workstreams and change programmes to maximise reach and potential of creative health strategies.
Proactively and independently develop, implement and evaluate programme creative health and engagement activity and lead creative health change management strategies.
To develop relationships with external stakeholders to ensure creative health strategies are responsive to the needs of the system and communities.
To independently develop creative health delivery and partnership channels and provide specialist advice to programme teams and other stakeholders, acting as creative health specialist at times of change when effective engagement is crucial.
Working with service users and communities to co-produce creative health projects, drawing on research and expert by experience networks to develop effective creative health and engagement strategies.
Main duties of the job
Lead a system wide creative health strategy and 24 month delivery plan, with clear governance, priorities, outcomes and a sustainability plan.
Map current creative health provision, partners, evidence, need and gaps, and establish a practical mechanism for keeping this intelligence current.
Work with Integrated Neighbourhood Teams to include creative health within neighbourhood plans, pathway development and community based support.
Use population health information, evidence and community insight to focus activity on people and places most affected by health inequalities, including rural, coastal, island and deprived communities.
Build durable relationships across the NHS, local government, primary care, social care, the voluntary, community and social enterprise sector, cultural organisations, universities and communities.
Support co production with people who use services, carers and communities, including people whose voices are less often heard.
Advise commissioners and partners, develop investment cases and funding bids, and identify sustainable resources for creative health activity.
Expand the contribution of creative health to social prescribing, personalised care and priority areas such as mental health, children and young people, frailty, long term conditions and prevention.

Person Specification
Education and Experience Essential
Educated to Degree level or equivalent level of qualification or significant equivalent previous proven experience in a specialist area, such as creative health, public health, programme management or community development. Educated to master level or equivalent experience in creative health, public health, project management, change management, strategy and planning. Good knowledge of Microsoft Office with intermediate keyboard skills. Broad communications and engagement experience, including development of content for internal and external comms (e.g., intranet, ebulletins, events) Experience of delivering stakeholder engagement and consultation projects Experience of designing and creating content for social media and other platforms using specialist software for example, Adobe InDesign, Photoshop and Premiere Pro.
Desirable
Experience working in the NHS or other health system
Skills and Aptitude Essential
Highly experienced in leading, delivering and project managing creative health programmes including event management, workshops, learning sessions and visits. Experience in strategic planning of system creative health programmes and events and leading the implementation of public consultation strategies Demonstrated capability to plan over short, medium and long-term timeframes and adjust plans accordingly
