Major Duties & Responsibilities The primary responsibility of this position will be to test related products per established work instructions to evaluate product performance and collect data that provides evidence of conformance to product requirements. Lab test technician also works on kind of equipment validations and equipment preventative maintenance per lab engineer’s guidance and instruction, lab samples management etc. This includes, but is not limited to the following: Conduct electrical, optical, mechanical, and environmental tests of copper and fiber optic products to assess compliance to product requirements. Collect, record, analyze and report test data. Utilize custom computer software used with test equipment to acquire data if needed. Utilize Microsoft Excel and Word to analyze and report data if needed. Follow testing schedule and provide status in the lab request system. Assist in documenting the failures found in the ULIMS NCR system, help to track the NCR progress Write the test reports according to the tes plan. Send for reviea and approval. Utilize test request system to update test status. Communicate issues in a timely manner to the lab manager or test engineer. Support lab manager or test engineer on the test samples management, track and deposition. Conduct the lab equipments maintenance, preventative maintenance based on the related procedures, checklist. Report and document any failures found. Conduct the related equipment validations, and keep the record. Report any issue found to the lab manager or lab engineer for further analysis. Other lab daily work assigned, like 5s, daily management, other lab related accessories & tooling etc management etc. SKILLS REQUIRED High level of competency with corporate, business unit and lab quality management system documentation. High level of competency for a broad range of relevant industry standards for copper and fiber optic products High level of competency for a broad range of the range of lab test equipment. Follow department safety and efficiency programs. Participate in test equipment maintenance and validations if required. Complete training on lab processes, procedures and test methods as required. Collaboration with current lab staff which includes other test engineers and technicians in team oriented environment. Familiarity with a wide range of copper and fiber optic products or equivalent. Assist lab manager or test engineer on the samples management, despostion etc. Self-motivated, take responsibilities, willing to work under pressure
