Opportunity: Assistant Manager /Deputy Manager – Corporate Services Location: Bangalore, India Employment Type: Full-time, Permanent We are looking for a seasoned accounting professional to join our Corporate Services team as an Assistant Manager . This is a people management role involving review of deliverables , client coordination , and oversight of a team handling end-to-end accounting, statutory compliance, payroll, and monthly closures for clients. Key Responsibilities Finance & Accounting (Review & Oversight) Review day-to-day accounting entries, general ledger, bank reconciliations, and expense allocations Final review of financial statements, trial balance, and ledgers before client submission Monitor timely completion of month-end and year-end closing activities Review of accounts receivable and payable schedules and reconciliations Review of fixed asset registers and depreciation workings Ensure accuracy in budget preparation, cash flow forecasting, and variance analysis Guide the team on accounting standards and ensure proper documentation Payroll & Compliance Oversee payroll processing and review statutory deductions Ensure accuracy in compensation structuring and alignment with tax regulations Review compliance with PF, ESI, PT, LWF, and other payroll-related laws Ensure timely filing of payroll statutory returns and payments Statutory Compliance (Direct & Indirect Tax) Review TDS computations, challans, and quarterly return filings Review GST workings, monthly/quarterly return filings, and reconciliations Oversee advance tax calculations and income tax return filings for entities Ensure adherence to all statutory timelines and help manage audits, if any MCA & Company Law Guide and review maintenance of statutory registers, board/shareholder meeting minutes Review and ensure timely filing of ROC forms and annual returns Coordinate with Company Secretaries and ensure compliance with Companies Act STPI & Customs (if applicable) Oversee Softex filings and STPI returns Review documentation for import approvals and STPI warehousing procedures RBI & FEMA (as applicable) Review FEMA/RBI-related filings for foreign investments, ECBs, and compliances Coordinate with authorized dealers for FDI/ODI related documentation Client & Team Management Act as the primary point of contact for client escalations and reporting Ensure timely delivery of high-quality outputs by the team Review work done by team members and provide regular feedback Mentor, guide, and train junior staff to ensure continuous learning and development Skills & Attributes Strong knowledge of Indian Accounting Standards, GST, TDS, Income Tax, and MCA compliance Hands-on experience in monthly closures, reconciliations, and review of financial statements Proven ability to manage teams and review their work effectively Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) Strong client management and interpersonal skills Organized, deadline-driven, and quality-focused Proficient in MS Excel and commonly used accounting tools (Tally/ERP) Key Requirements 8 to 10 years of experience in core accounting, compliance, and financial operations Experience in reviewing work and managing a team is a must Qualification: CA / Semi-qualified CA / MBA Finance or equivalent preferred Company Benefits At Vistra India, we prioritize employee well-being and offer: Competitive health and insurance benefits Learning and growth opportunities with global exposure A supportive and inclusive work culture Opportunities to grow your career across functions and geographies If you're passionate about finance, enjoy leading teams, and want to work in a dynamic client-centric environment, we’d love to hear from you.
