Director / Senior Manager - Mining Operations LGM is seeking an experienced Director / Senior Manager – Mining Operations to lead an integrated DSO iron ore mining operation in Cameroon and ensure the safe, efficient, and cost-effective delivery of production targets. This strategic role will oversee contractor-led mining activities while maintaining operational excellence across the mine-to-port value chain. Key Responsibilities Lead and oversee mining, processing, haulage, and stockpiling activities delivered through contract mining partners. Ensure production, cost, quality, and safety targets are achieved. Manage contractor performance, contractual compliance, and KPI delivery. Oversee mine planning, grade control, ore quality management, and production reporting. Promote high standards of Health, Safety, Environmental, and ESG performance. Coordinate operational interfaces with logistics, transport, and port operations. Drive operational efficiency, continuous improvement, and cost optimisation initiatives. Build and lead a high-performing operations team while maintaining strong governance and stakeholder engagement. Desired Profile Degree in Mining Engineering, Geology, or a related discipline. Minimum 15 years of experience in the mining industry, including leadership roles in open-pit mining operations. Proven experience managing mining contractors within a contract mining environment. Strong operational, technical, commercial, and contract management capabilities. Demonstrated leadership, decision-making, and stakeholder management skills. Strong commitment to safety, environmental stewardship, and operational excellence. Full professional proficiency in English; French is considered a strong advantage Location: Cameroon
