The Opportunity We're looking for an AI Governance Analyst to help shape and embed responsible AI practices across Transgrid, ensuring our use of AI is ethical, transparent, and compliant with regulatory and organisational requirements. Working closely with the Senior Data Governance Analyst, you will contribute to the development and ongoing improvement of our AI governance framework, while supporting AI risk management, model governance, compliance, and AI literacy initiatives across the business. Partnering with a range of stakeholders, you'll champion a culture of responsible innovation, helping teams understand and manage AI risks and opportunities with confidence. About You Sound experience in AI governance, data governance, technology risk, or a related field. Experience with Microsoft Copilot, Copilot Studio and Microsoft Purview DSPM Strong understanding of AI governance frameworks and standards, including NIST AI RMF, ISO/IEC 38507, and emerging AI regulations. Knowledge of data protection, information security, and compliance frameworks such as ISO 27001, GDPR, and the Australian Essential Eight Cyber Security Framework. Highly developed analytical, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to translate complex AI concepts for diverse audiences. Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline (e.g., Computer Science, Risk Management, Information Systems). Highly desirable Familiarity with AI maturity and responsible AI frameworks, such as OWASP and the NSW AI Assurance Framework. Experience applying good-practice prompt design to improve AI solution quality and reliability. Experience working with modern data platforms, including Microsoft Fabric and Dataverse. Exposure to maintaining inventories or registries of AI solutions, including agentic AI use cases. Ability to define, track and report on AI usage, adoption and value-realisation metrics.
