We are now looking for a Reliability Engineer to join the CCH team. This versatile DevOps team is responsible for both developing and operating hybrid infrastructure services that span premise environments and Azure cloud solutions. In this role, you will work across the entire lifecycle of services—from design and development to production operations and incident management. Together with your team, you will ensure the availability, performance, and recoverability of platform services, while continuously improving production environments proactively—not only through incident resolution but by preventing issues before they occur. The position is located in Helsinki or Oulu. In line with OP Pohjola’s ways of working, we offer flexible hybrid work within Finland. A few words about the job You will: Ensure the practical functionality and continuous development of change and incident management processes, with a strong focus on automation Analyse incidents and disruptions, identify root causes, and eliminate systemic issues Collaborate closely with application development teams to ensure reliability is embedded already in the design phase Consider regulatory requirements and strict deadlines in technical solutions Work as a technical expert, influencing both platform-level and application-level technical implementations Ensure the quality and accuracy of data and data queries in incident resolution situations You will also work closely with multiple stakeholders across OP’s ecosystem, supporting development teams in improving the reliability of their applications. A central part of your responsibility area includes business-critical systems such as: Positive Credit Register (PCR) – a regulatory-critical system currently running on-premises and transitioning towards Azure. The system processes data from 18 different sources and delivers information on millions on loans daily to the Finnish Tax Administration within strict deadlines Housing Transaction System (HTJ) – similar in architecture to PCR, though less time-critical CEA (new responsibility aggregator) – a cloud-native data product and API running in Azure, currently in an early lifecycle phase with significant expected growth. Gathers loan data across OP and will be in critical role in financing process These systems are critical to society, and any disruption could directly affect key financial processes such as lending. What we expect from you This role is an excellent fit for someone with a background in software or automation development within container-based architecture. We expect: Strong hands-on experience with Kubernetes and container platforms Experience in maintaining and developing production environments, especially in public cloud (Azure is an advantage) Ability to operate in a complex stakeholder environment as a technical expert Proactive way of working and strong problem-solving mindset Understanding of system dependencies and risk management Good collaboration and communication skills Fluency in Finnish & English Why OP Pohjola?
