• Assist with installation of automatic sliding, folding, revolving and swinging doors, operators and associated equipment. • Assist with surveying and preparing worksite location for installation, this can include measurements, alterations and construction modifications. • Assist and perform construction related work such as framing and build in’s. • Proactively support our safety program and initiatives, comply with all safety policies and procedures and ensure utilization of safe work practices on site, in the warehouse and office. • Evaluate and ensure prior to commencement of work, that the appropriate tools and equipment are working and/or available. • Responsible for documenting the work to be performed and reviewing with the customer. • Responsible for overseeing the care and maintenance of equipment, tools and vehicles provided by Door Services Corporation. • Maintain that the appropriate parts inventory is in the company vehicles and ensure that items are available for work. • Represent Door Services with customers and present them in a professional demeanor • Travel to customer locations throughout the service area while maintaining safe driving practices.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
· A minimum of a high school diploma or general education degree (GED) is required.
· Experience in glass and aluminum store front preferred.
· Electrical background preferred.
· Minimum of 2 years’ experience in the Automatic Door Industry is preferred.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to calculate basic math including fractions and read a tape measure.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Valid driver’s license.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Must be capable of working at heights to service doors and operators using ladders
WORK ENVIRONMENT

While performing the duties of this job, the employee works in many different environments including hospitals, pharmaceuticals facilities, business offices and retail locations and is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts and outside weather conditions. The employee is frequently exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, fumes or airborne particles, extreme cold, extreme heat, risk of electrical shock, and vibration.
