European Lending Product Director As a Product Manager within JPMorganChase’s International Consumer Bank, you will shape the product strategy and roadmap for unsecured lending capabilities for EU expansion via a single platform and market-specific overlays (e.g., regulatory, disclosures, credit policy inputs, language/content, and operational variations). You will partner closely with engineering, design/content, controls, and market stakeholders to deliver scalable, cloud-native platform capabilities and seamless customer journeys through the full PDLC. Key responsibilities You will be accountable for defining the strategy, shaping the roadmap, and delivering end-to-end capabilities for unsecured lending across EU expansion markets, using a core platform-and-overlays approach.
• Define and drive the product strategy and roadmap, balancing the requirements of markets specific asks and single scalable platform across markets.
• Ensure origination, repayments, servicing, and customer support and collections capabilities are designed for reuse across EU markets, in partnership with other teams.
• Write requirements and acceptance criteria for prioritized products & features, collaborating with markets, design/content, platform and controls to ensure solutions are desirable, usable, feasible and viable.
• Be accountable for product outcomes, prioritisation and end to end delivery, working with engineering, platform, design, controls, data, operations and market stakeholders
• Engage with market stakeholders to drive product performance, defining product OKRs, identifying weaknesses and prioritising improvements based on customer and performance data.
• Manage vendors and third-party dependencies where applicable, ensuring they meet SLAs while controlling costs.
• Accountability for controls, ensuring that we continue to meet firmwide standards to manage risk and regulatory obligations.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills The successful candidate will demonstrate the following.
• European unsecured lending expertise, with deep experience in Personal Loans and other unsecured lending products including Credit Cards/Overdraft/BNPL/POS finance
• Strong understanding of relevant European regulatory and conduct obligations for unsecured consumer lending products.
• Experienced product manager with a track record of delivering against a product roadmap in a complex, cross-functional environment.
• Strong product/platform acumen and experience partnering with engineering to build scalable, cloud-native services (API-led, microservices-oriented).
• Proven leadership and stakeholder management at senior levels; able to explain decisions clearly, logically, empathetically but firmly.
Preferred qualifications The following are advantageous.
• Multi-market European launch/scale experience for unsecured lending products.
• Data analysis and modelling expertise, translating customer/portfolio data into product insights and prioritisation.
• Experience managing existing and new vendor contracts
