Posted are the minimum and the maximum wage rates on the wage range for this position. The successful candidate's placement on the wage range for this position will be determined based upon relevant job experience and other applicable factors. These amounts are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.

New graduate, entry level, as a Phlebotomist in a clinical lab or ambulatory care setting. Under the general supervision of the Laboratory Supervisor, this position performs capillary and venous specimen collections on adults and children. Other duties include spinning, aliquoting, labeling, and preparing specimens for Reference Laboratory testing. Position also requires extensive data entry of patient and testing information into Laboratory computer system.

Required Qualifications:
• H.S. Diploma or GED, and • Education to meet certification, license or registration requirement • Upon hire: California Certified Phlebotomy Technician I License or • Upon hire: California Certified Phlebotomy Technician II License • Within 30 days of hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association
Preferred Qualifications:
• 1 year experience as a Phlebotomist in a clinical laboratory and ambulatory care setting, with special training as appropriate
