The Coding Auditor and Educator leads coding quality assurance and education efforts to drive coding accuracy, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement across coding operations. Performs comprehensive coding audits to assess accuracy, compliance, and performance trends. Analyzes audit findings to identify root causes and develops targeted education to improve coding outcomes. Provides guidance on complex coding scenarios and supports compliance initiatives. Serves as a subject matter expert for coding practices and regulatory requirements. Drives improvement in coding accuracy and consistency through audit insights, education, and standardization efforts.

• Works with coders, providers, and leadership to support audit and education efforts. • Delivers clear, actionable feedback and education to improve coding accuracy and compliance. • Identifies coding trends and develops solutions to improve accuracy and performance. • Follows through on audit findings and education plans with accountability. • Improves coding quality and performance through audit insights and standardization. • Supports compliance and accurate coding outcomes that impact reimbursement and data integrity. • Drives continuous improvement through education and process refinement.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS EXPERIENCE:

• 4+ year coding experience EDUCATION:

• High School Diploma or GED LICENSE/CERTIFICATIONS:

• AHIMA-RHIA (Registered Health Information Administrator) OR AHIMA-RHIT (Registered Health Information Technician) OR AHIMA-CCS (Certified Coding Specialist) OR AAPC-CIC (Certified Inpatient Coder) OR AAPC-CPC (Certified Professional Coder); AAPPC-COC (Certified Outpatient Coder) SKILLS:

• Day-to-day work requires: performing coding quality reviews to assess accuracy, compliance, and performance trends; analyzing audit findings to identify root causes; providing targeted education to coders and providers; applying coding guidelines and regulatory standards in audit activities; and serving as a subject matter expert to support resolution of complex coding scenarios. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
