If you are a professional looking for an opportunity to grow your career, this is an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact within a dynamic global supply chain environment. In this role, you will help ensure the efficient flow of materials across the business, balancing customer demand, inventory, supplier performance, and operational priorities. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to respond to changing business needs, improve planning processes, and support key business outcomes through data-driven decision-making and collaboration. The role is well suited to someone who combines strong planning expertise with adaptability, continuous learning, and a proactive approach to problem solving. In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:
• Develop and execute material planning strategies to support customer demand, production requirements, and inventory objectives. • Monitor material availability, identify risks, and take proactive action to minimize supply disruptions. • Analyze planning data, ERP/MRP outputs, and supply chain trends to support informed business decisions. • Collaborate with Procurement, Production, Logistics, Warehouse Operations, Demand Planning, Quality, and Finance teams to align priorities and improve supply chain performance. • Manage planning activities within ERP and MRP systems, ensuring data accuracy and timely execution of planning actions. • Support Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) and Sales and Operations Execution (S&OE) processes by identifying constraints, opportunities, and mitigation plans. • Track and influence key performance indicators such as inventory turns, service levels, forecast accuracy, supplier performance, inventory optimization, and material availability. • Drive continuous improvement initiatives that enhance planning efficiency, process effectiveness, and cross-functional collaboration. • Leverage digital tools, automation solutions, and emerging technologies to improve planning outcomes while applying sound business judgment. • Build productive relationships across teams, functions, suppliers, and locations to resolve challenges and support business objectives. Who You Are: You actively seek to understand the root cause of challenges and use insights to improve processes and outcomes. You adapt effectively when priorities shift and maintain focus in a fast-paced environment with changing demands. You connect day-to-day decisions to broader business objectives, considering their impact on customers, operations, inventory, and financial performance. You build collaborative relationships, understand different perspectives, and use sound judgment to balance innovation, operational excellence, and business results. For This Role, You Will Need:
• 5+ years in material/distribution or production planning, supply chain, or procurement — ideally in a manufacturing or industrial environment • Hands-on ERP and MRP experience — can read exceptions, not just enter transactions • Proven ability to reprioritize on short notice when supply constraints, demand shifts, or new opportunities change the plan mid-week • Advanced Excel and comfort turning planning data into a KPI story for non-planners (production, sales, finance) • Fluent English; strong cross-functional communication — this role lives in meetings with procurement, production, and logistics Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart:
• Active use or exposure to projects with AI-assisted planning or automation tools (copilots, RPA, Power Automate, DOMO) — treats them as an accelerant, not a crutch; still applies judgment over the output • Exposure to PFEP/ABC-XYZ segmentation, WMAPE-style forecast accuracy tracking, or similar planning frameworks • Lean / continuous-improvement exposure • Multi-site or international supply chain exposure • Bachelor's degree in supply chain, business, engineering, or a related field Our Culture & Commitment To You At Emerson, we prioritize a workplace where every employee is valued, respected, and empowered to grow. We foster an environment that encourages innovation, collaboration, and diverse perspectives – because we know that great ideas come from great teams. Our commitment to ongoing career development and growing an inclusive culture ensures you have the support to thrive. Whether through mentorship, training, or leadership opportunities, we invest in your success so you can make a lasting impact. We believe diverse teams working together are key to driving growth and delivering business results.
