We are looking for an experienced Senior Media Coordinator to join our busy UEFA department, taking a key role in managing media workflows, supporting post-production delivery, supporting the UEFA Media Manager and helping guide junior team members.

The role will be integral to the smooth delivery of UEFA magazine programming, with responsibility for helping to oversee the ingest, organisation, preparation, export and archive of media for content relating to the UEFA Champions League, UEFA Europa League and UEFA Conference League.

The Senior Media Coordinator will also support content relating to the UEFA European Qualifiers and UEFA Nations League, ensuring media is delivered accurately, efficiently and in line with UEFA and Whisper technical requirements.

We are looking for someone with strong experience using Adobe Premiere Pro and Adobe Media Encoder, a confident understanding of post-production workflows, excellent technical judgement and a meticulous approach to file management, quality control and delivery.

You will be comfortable working as part of a fast-paced production team, acting as a key point of contact for Producers, Assistant Producers, Editors and Technical colleagues, whilst deputising for the Media Manager as required and supporting junior members of the media team.

A strong knowledge of, and passion for, domestic and international football is vital, alongside the ability to stay calm, organised and solutions-focused during busy delivery periods.

Key Responsibilities

• Assisting in the day-to-day running of the media coordination team, including training new staff and helping to review and update workflows in conjunction with your line manager to increase productivity and improve processes.

• Working on the day-to-day organisation, labelling, storage and processing of UEFA media, ensuring all content is handled accurately and consistently.

• Syncing, compiling, preparing and exporting rushes in line with UEFA and Whisper technical specifications, including the creation of UCMs (ungraded split track masters).

• Creating, maintaining and troubleshooting edit projects, ensuring Editors and APs have the correct media, sequences and supporting materials.

• Acting as the main point of contact for Producers, APs, Editors and technical colleagues regarding media workflow, technical queries and delivery issues.

• Monitoring and managing media workspaces, storage and project organisation, keeping systems clear, efficient, production-ready and at a sensible level.

• Maintaining accurate records of media movement, exports, archives and deliverables, and updating and maintaining UEFA/Whisper documentation.

• Supporting and guiding the existing team of Media Coordinators, helping to uphold team standards and consistent working practices.

• Identifying workflow improvements and flagging risks, delays or technical issues promptly to the relevant production and post-production teams.

Skills, Knowledge & Experience

• Strong working knowledge of Adobe Premiere Pro and Adobe Media Encoder

• Confident understanding of post-production workflows, media ingest, transcoding, exports, archiving and delivery processes

• Good knowledge of broadcast file formats, codecs, frame rates and technical specifications

• Proven ability to support busy edit teams and manage multiple projects, deadlines and priorities at once

• Excellent attention to detail, with a calm, methodical and solutions-focused approach to problem solving

• Excellent organisational, communication and time management skills

• Experience supporting, training or overseeing junior team members

• Flexibility and adaptability to changing workloads, priorities and new systems

• Ability to work effectively with others and manage relationships across a large, busy and diverse production team

• Strong knowledge of domestic and international football, with an understanding of UEFA competitions desirable

Location:

This role will be based in Kew, London.

Working hours:

This role will require flexibility and some weekend working. Lieu days will be given for any days worked over a five-day week. The role will require the successful applicant to be in the office 5 days a week.

Whisper operates a 4:1 working from home policy, which the successful applicant will be offered once they pass their probationary period and are comfortable performing and completing all daily tasks.
