Chilliwack, BC | Full-Time $80,000–$85,000 annually dependent on experience

Ruth & Naomi’s Mission is seeking an experienced, steady, and people-focused Associate Director of Housing & Shelter to provide leadership across our housing, shelter, and community outreach programs.

Reporting to the Director of Programming, this role provides oversight across Interchange, Family Centre, Community Outreach Centre, and The Grove, with a strong focus on developing and supporting department managers, strengthening program quality and outcomes, ensuring operational consistency, and maintaining strong standards of tenancy and regulatory compliance.

What You’ll Do

• Provide leadership, coaching, and oversight to Housing and Shelter Managers • Oversee program quality, implementation, performance, and outcomes across multiple housing, shelter, and community outreach programs • Establish clear expectations and accountability for program delivery, documentation, participant engagement, and outcomes • Ensure the Steps Forward Database is consistently implemented and utilized across applicable sites, and monitor participation and outcomes • Use program data, feedback, and performance information to identify gaps and strengthen program effectiveness • Provide oversight of tenancy practices and ensure applicable programs remain compliant with the BC Residential Tenancy Act, RTB requirements, BC Housing agreements, and organizational policies • Support managers with complex operational, tenancy, staffing, and program-related matters • Identify operational, compliance, safety, and program risks and ensure appropriate follow-up • Collaborate across departments to strengthen operations, service delivery, and continuity of care • Provide senior leadership with regular reporting on program performance, outcomes, compliance, challenges, and emerging needs

What You’ll Bring

• Diploma or degree in Social Services, Human Services, Leadership, Nonprofit Management, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience • Minimum 5 years of progressive leadership experience in social services, supportive housing, shelter, outreach, or a related environment • Experience leading managers or supervisors and overseeing multiple programs or service areas • Strong experience with program implementation, performance monitoring, evaluation, and continuous improvement • Experience working with individuals experiencing homelessness, addiction, mental health challenges, trauma, poverty, or other complex barriers • Experience administering or overseeing tenancies within non-market, supportive, or subsidized housing • Working knowledge of the BC Residential Tenancy Act and RTB processes • Strong leadership, coaching, communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills • Ability to create structure, consistency, and accountability across a complex, multi-site environment

Compensation & Benefits
