We are looking for a Junior Project Manager to join our Operation team! You will be responsible for overseeing project-level manufacturing operations throughout Southeast Asia to ensure accurate planning, forecasting, and execution. He/She will work directly with ODMs, EMSs, and internal teams to establish material readiness schedules, develop production plans, review manufacturing progress, and identify, own, and drive resolution of blockers and critical issues within their scope of responsibility. This role is responsible for making day-to-day operational decisions within defined authority, holding ODM/EMS partners accountable for commitments, and delivering manufacturing results that support program objectives. He/She will proactively monitor material readiness, production capacity, workforce availability, and other key manufacturing factors to ensure production remains on schedule. The role also requires coordinating cross-functional internal and external resources to enable on-time production launches. Issues that cannot be resolved within the established scope should be escalated only after thorough analysis has been completed, and proposed solutions and recovery plans have been developed. The Junior Project Manager is expected to provide manufacturing leadership with clear, actionable details regarding risks, schedule impacts, and mitigation plans to support informed decision-making and successful program execution.
Responsibilities:
• Work with ODMs directly to develop effective production plans.
• Get familiar with all current product lines across NEXA.
• Review current partner ecosystem and become familiar with current ODMs and EMSs in use throughout S/E Asia.
• Visit at least one ODM/EMS to witness actual production and quality controls operations running and understand the manufacturing process.
• Independently manage assigned projects, drive issue resolution, make routine operational decisions, maintain schedule performance, and serve as the primary owner of project outcome
• Monitor & oversee daily production compliance to ensure on-time delivery.
• Understanding the operations from Procurement, Operations, Logistics to delivery.
• Coordinate with QC department & firms for proper QC planning throughout production cycle.
• Conduct one to one meetings with Operations, Quality, and product engineering leadership to understand different roles and responsibilities across the company.
• Identify and take ownership of production blockers/issues until they are resolved, Lead resolution of production, material, quality, and scheduling issues by identifying root causes, developing recovery plans, assigning actions, and driving closure.
• Assume responsibility for managing portions of assigned projects, including risk identification, production decision-making, issue resolution, recovery planning, and ODM/EMS accountability, with guidance from a senior PM.
• Maintain highly detailed project records using various system to ensure all critical details are tracked and reported daily.
• Complete training on current project tracking and reporting systems.
• Work across a globally diverse organization to evaluate issues, recommend solutions, make day-to-day operational decisions within established authority, and drive execution to achieve manufacturing objectives.
• Provide oversight and guidance to the Packaging Engineer to ensure packaging designs, requirements, and production constraints are aligned to support efficient manufacturing and product launch readiness.
• Review current SOPs to understand procedural requirements across the company
• Participate in all internal operations meeting
• Participate in select external project meetings to learn company processes
• Work with Logistics team to ensure shipments leaving factory on time by priorities.
• Employees will be required to adhere to NEXA's information security policies and procedures.
Qualifications:
• BS-degree or higher is acceptable.
• Over 5 years’ experience in electronics products production and previous experience working with international companies.
• Previous experience with international travel (Must be eligible for a visa to Vietnam, Taiwan, and Japan).
• Excellent English proficiency, with strong negotiation and interpersonal skills to work across cultures.
• Willingness to travel internationally and work across varying time zones.
• Highly desired:
• Full understanding in all processes/flow of mobile devices manufacturing.
• Demonstrated expertise in Excel, PPT, and other Microsoft office tools.
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and create effective daily schedules.
• PMP certificate.
• Must be able to communicate effectively in written and spoken English.
