Position Summary
The Talent Acquisition Specialist is responsible for supporting the continued growth of LUV Bridal by identifying, attracting, screening, and coordinating the hiring of qualified candidates across the organization.
This role will manage the recruitment process from position opening through accepted offer, partnering closely with People Operations, Business Development Managers, showroom leadership, and department leaders to understand staffing needs and identify candidates who align with the skills, performance expectations, culture, and values of LUV Bridal.
The successful candidate will be an organized and proactive recruiter who can manage multiple openings across different markets while maintaining a positive and professional candidate experience. This individual will also help strengthen LUV Bridal's recruiting strategy, employment brand, candidate pipelines, and hiring processes as the organization continues to grow.
Key Responsibilities
Talent Acquisition & Recruiting
• Manage assigned job openings throughout the recruiting lifecycle, from position posting through accepted offer.
• Partner with People Operations and hiring leaders to understand position requirements, staffing priorities, and ideal candidate profiles.
• Create, review, and maintain accurate and compelling job descriptions and job postings.
• Post and manage employment opportunities across applicant tracking systems, job boards, social media, local organizations, schools, professional networks, and other recruiting channels.
• Develop and maintain candidate pipelines for frequently recruited and difficult-to-fill positions.
• Proactively source qualified candidates rather than relying solely on incoming applications.
• Review applications and resumes to identify candidates who meet established position requirements.
• Conduct initial candidate screening interviews to evaluate experience, communication, availability, compensation expectations, and alignment with position requirements.
• Review pre-employment assessments and other screening information in accordance with established Company hiring procedures.
• Maintain a thorough understanding of positions throughout the organization in order to accurately communicate responsibilities, expectations, compensation structure, and career opportunities to candidates.
• Coordinate interviews between qualified candidates and hiring managers.
• Maintain regular communication with candidates throughout the recruiting process and ensure candidates receive timely updates regarding their status.
• Partner with hiring managers to gather interview feedback and move qualified candidates efficiently through the selection process.
• Prepare and coordinate approved employment offers in accordance with established compensation and hiring guidelines.
• Coordinate anticipated start dates with the hiring manager and People Operations.
• Provide a complete and organized handoff of accepted candidates to People Operations for onboarding and new-hire processing.
Candidate Experience & Employment Brand
• Represent LUV Bridal professionally and consistently throughout every stage of the candidate experience.
• Clearly communicate LUV Bridal's culture, values, expectations, and employment opportunities to prospective employees.
• Ensure job postings and recruiting materials accurately represent the organization and employment experience.
• Identify opportunities to strengthen LUV Bridal's employment brand across recruiting platforms and candidate touchpoints.
• Build relationships with local colleges, employment organizations, industry groups, referral sources, and community partners that may provide strong candidate pipelines.
• Develop recruiting strategies tailored to individual markets and positions.
Recruiting Operations & Reporting
• Maintain accurate and timely candidate records within the Company's applicant tracking and recruiting systems.
• Track candidates throughout each stage of the recruiting process and ensure hiring managers have visibility into recruiting progress.
• Monitor recruiting metrics such as applicant volume, qualified candidate rates, time-to-fill, source effectiveness, offer acceptance, and hiring trends.
• Identify recruiting bottlenecks and recommend improvements to increase the efficiency and effectiveness of the hiring process.
• Maintain organized recruiting documentation in accordance with Company procedures and applicable recordkeeping requirements.
• Work with People Operations to continually evaluate and improve recruiting processes, screening standards, interview practices, and recruiting tools.
• Maintain confidentiality of applicant, employee, compensation, and Company information.
Qualifications
To be successful in this role, candidates should have:
• 3–5 years of experience in talent acquisition, recruiting, or a related Human Resources function.
• Experience recruiting for retail, hospitality, bridal, sales, or other service-oriented businesses preferred.
• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Leadership, or a related field preferred, or equivalent combination of education and relevant professional experience.
• Experience using applicant tracking systems, recruiting platforms, job boards, and candidate sourcing tools.
• Experience reviewing and utilizing pre-employment assessments as part of an established selection process.
• Working knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws and recruiting practices, including equal employment opportunity and appropriate candidate screening practices.
• Demonstrated ability to source and attract candidates in competitive labor markets.
• Strong interviewing and candidate evaluation skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple positions, candidates, hiring managers, and deadlines simultaneously.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining accurate recruiting records.
• Ability to analyze recruiting data and use metrics to improve hiring outcomes.
• Ability to work independently, take initiative, and appropriately prioritize competing business needs.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to develop productive working relationships with leaders at multiple levels of the organization.
• A collaborative, team-oriented approach with a willingness to receive feedback and continuously improve.
