About this role

The Cloud team is part of Internet Vikings Infrastructure function, which is responsible for the core Virtualisation and Compute Platforms that underpin the Company's product offering.

The team is responsible for providing Managed Services to our B2B iGaming customers, including architecture, implementation of complex solutions, configuration of new customer environments, daily operations and maintenance of the virtualised infrastructure.

As a Cloud Engineer, you will work across virtualisation, storage, networking and automation to keep our infrastructure reliable, secure and scalable.

This role will report directly to the Head of Infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, Deploy and Maintain cloud infrastructure solutions primarily using VMware vSphere, VMware Cloud Director, VMware NSX and VMware vSAN

• Manage and optimise compute, storage and networking resources across on-premises environments

• Collaborate with other technical teams on infrastructure design, customer deliveries and day to day operations

• Lead cloud optimisation efforts to improve performance and reduce costs

• Define infrastructure standards for the compute, VMware configurations, storage, networking and security

• Automate provisioning, monitoring, and management processes using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and other scripting tools

• Monitor Infrastructure health, performance and capacity planning efforts

• Participate in incident response and root-cause analysis for infrastructure issues

• Troubleshoot and resolve complex virtualisation issues

• Maintain compliance with security and regulatory standards such as ISO27001

Requirements

• Have 5+ years of experience working with VMware infrastructure products

• Have strong knowledge of VMware vSAN, VMware Cloud Director, VMware NSX

• Scripting / automation experience (Powershell, Python or similar) and familiarity with IaC tooling

• Working knowledge of Linux, Windows server administration

• Have a good working experience from enterprise backup products such as Veeam

• Have a very good understanding of networking principles and routing protocols

• Familiarity with ITIL processes and best practices

• Be comfortable with direct customer interactions

• Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to work independently

• Have a challenger attitude to drive and implement change within your area of expertise

• Additional knowledge of other hypervisor platforms such as Proxmox and experience with VMware VCF9 is a plus
