Franklin Vets is a progressive veterinary practice making a real difference to the lives of animals and their people. With 16 locations across South Auckland, North Waikato, and the Hauraki/Coromandel districts, we’re committed to delivering quality care through innovative technology. We also provide back office support to 5 clinics for The Vet Centre in Northland.
We’re on the lookout for a capable, solutions-focused IT Support person to support our growing team of 300+ users across a dispersed, multi-site network. This fixed-term role (4–6 months) is part-time, working 3–4 days per week, and is ideal for someone with strong Microsoft 365 capability, a knack for IT projects and system improvements.
You’ll play a critical role in keeping our people connected, productive, and supported every day.

What You’ll Do
Front-Line IT Support & Helpdesk
• Be the first point of contact for day-to-day IT support queries
• Log, triage, and resolve tickets through the IT helpdesk system
• Manage, maintain and optimise SharePoint, Teams, Outlook, Forms, and user access
• Coordinate with third party suppliers to troubleshoot issues
Microsoft 365 Onboarding & Offboarding
• Set up new users across Franklin Vets systems
• Coordinate new hardware provisioning, installation and configuration
• Maintain internal IT documentation
• Manage user offboarding by removing access and disabling accounts across key systems
• Manage licensing, permissions, and access controls to ensure data security.
Hardware
• Set up and configure laptops and PCs
• Visit clinics to set-up and configure printers, and other IT equipment
Projects & Implementation
• Support and manage specific IT projects and technology rollouts as they arise
• Work closely with internal stakeholders to ensure smooth adoption and minimal disruption
What We’re Looking For
• Experienced Level 1 IT support person
• Excellent communication skills – patient, approachable, and calm under pressure
• Comfortable managing both incident tickets and structured IT project work
• A natural problem-solver who shows ownership and initiative
• A genuine team player who enjoys collaborating and learning
• A full NZ driver’s licence is required – some onsite support and travel between clinics will be necessary
• Experience with Ezyvet, InfoVet, or Smartflow would be advantageous
• Previous experience in a multi-site or distributed environment
