Front Desk Staff
Boys & Girls Clubs of Weld County
PRIMARY FUNCTION
The Front Desk Staff member serves as the first point of contact for members, families, and visitors at the Boys & Girls Clubs of Weld County. This position is responsible for maintaining a welcoming, professional, and safe front entry environment while supporting daily club operations. The Front Desk Staff ensures accurate member check-in/out, provides information to families, assists with administrative tasks, and supports overall club safety and organization.
Front Desk Staff may work in a Club serving up to 100 youth (ages 6–18) daily.
Must be 18 years or older.
Job Status: Part-Time
School Year: Monday–Friday, 2:45pm–7:00pm (some flexibility) Summer: Monday–Friday, 8-hour shift
Pay Range: Starting at $15.25–$16.00 per hour, depending on experience
KEY ROLES (Essential Job Responsibilities)
• Create a welcoming and friendly environment for youth, families, and visitors
• Build supportive and professional relationships with members and parents
• Ensure all members are properly checked in and checked out
• Maintain accurate records and updated member information
• Communicate club expectations and provide helpful information
• Uphold all safety and security procedures
• Keep the front desk and entryway clean, organized, and professional
• Help run programs and activities as needed
• Monitor bathroom passes
Additional Responsibilities
Membership & Front Desk Operations
• Greet and assist members, parents, and visitors
• Monitor entry/exit to ensure only authorized individuals enter the Club
• Answer phones, direct calls, and provide accurate program information
• Update member information and attendance in the MTS system
• Track daily membership numbers and communicate needs to staff
• Assist with parent communication, schedules, and sign-out procedures
Administrative Support
• Assist with filing, documentation, and basic clerical tasks
• Help maintain office supplies and organization
• Support staff and leadership with communication or operational needs
Safety & Behavior Support
• Ensure members follow safety expectations when entering/exiting
• Report concerns or incidents to Club leadership promptly
• Support overall club safety by monitoring the lobby area

SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED
• High School diploma or GED
• Experience working with children or in a customer service/administrative role
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Ability to remain organized, calm, and professional
• Basic computer skills; ability to learn MTS and internal systems
• Ability to manage multiple tasks in a busy environment
• Must pass a Criminal Background Check & Drug Test
Training Requirements
• Boys & Girls Club Basics & Safety 101 completed within the first week of hire
• 30-Day: Complete Milestone 1 trainings
• 60-Day: Complete Milestone 2 trainings
• Attend monthly trainings for positive youth development and Club operations
