Bioresearches has a track record of more than 50 years of delivering ecological assessments, management and monitoring services throughout New Zealand and across marine, coastal, freshwater and terrestrial environments, working with a diversity of indigenous flora and fauna.
Our exciting role
We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Junior Freshwater Ecologist to join our growing team in Christchurch. In this role you will work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary environment to provide expert advice and assist the delivery of high-quality freshwater and wetland surveys, assessments, management and monitoring programs, while assisting terrestrial and marine disciplines where necessary/required. You will work in a highly motivated team who are passionate about the environment, ecology, sustainable solutions and who love their workplace. What you’ll need
• A relevant post-graduate qualification in ecology, environmental science or related discipline
• Working knowledge of freshwater ecosystems in New Zealand
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Love of the outdoors
• A good level of fitness, capability to do fieldwork and ability to work in remote and rough terrain
• Ecological survey and report writing experience gained through study, research or employment
• Full New Zealand Drivers License
