We are looking for a full-time, remote Business Development Specialist. Someone to provide high-level administrative and operational support to the development team.
What would you do if hired?
• Provide exceptional customer service to Business Members, exhibitors, sponsors, advertisers, prospective customers, and internal teams.
• Support Business Membership revenue growth through sales outreach, prospective member follow-up, relationship building, renewals, and retention efforts.
• Develop and maintain a strong working knowledge of Business Membership benefits, pricing, and opportunities to effectively communicate the value of membership to current and prospective Business Members.
• Coordinate and prepare Business Membership applications, renewals, benefits, invoicing, and payments in collaboration with the processing team.
• Maintain and strengthen Business Member relationships
• Identify opportunities to improve the Business Member experience, increase engagement, and support membership growth and retention.
• Maintain and support the ACA Business Member Directory
• Support exhibit sales for ACA events
• Coordinate exhibitors and sponsors for ACA events.
• Manage exhibitor applications, booth assignments, communications, invoicing, payments, schedules, certificates of insurance (COIs), and other requirements.
• Collaborate with PD Managers and Regional Directors to coordinate exhibitor and sponsor participation at events.
• Assist with National Conference exhibit hall floor planning, including booth layout, exhibitor placement, traffic flow, and opportunities to enhance the overall exhibit hall experience.
• Assist with National Conference exhibitor registration, pre-conference planning, on-site operations, and exhibitor communications.
• Provide on-site support for exhibitors, sponsors, registration, and exhibit hall operations at events
• Coordinate and monitor sponsorship agreements.
• Coordinate and process Camping Magazine advertising.
• Track and maintain accurate records.
• Assist in developing and implementing strategies to meet or exceed Business Development revenue goals.
• Support and participate in the ACA phone pool.
What are we looking for in a candidate?
• Associate or bachelor's degree in business, communications, marketing, hospitality, event management, or a related field preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
• Minimum of three years of experience in customer service, administrative support, business development, membership, event coordination, sales support, or a related environment.
• CRM and database experience preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and other business technology.
• Proficient in proofreading, business writing, and reviewing basic business agreements.
• Ability to travel annually to the ACA National Conference and occasionally for other business needs.
