The role
The Campaigns Marketing Officer will be responsible for planning and implementing effective marketing campaigns that support the university’s student recruitment objectives.
You will work collaboratively with the wider marketing team, and key stakeholders across the university, as well as managing relationships with external agencies and suppliers to ensure effective delivery. This role is likely to require 1-2 days on campus per week.
Key responsibilities and duties include:
Developing and delivering integrated marketing campaigns, including the creation and curation of digital content. Advising colleagues on customer acquisition techniques across digital channels such as PPC, social media, and email marketing. Managing campaign budgets and ensuring all activities are delivered on time and within agreed resource limits. Utilising CRM systems and analytical tools to capture data, set up campaign architecture, monitor performance, and report on ROI to inform future strategy. Ensuring campaign communications reflect the university’s brand identity and adhere to regulatory frameworks.
About the team
The Strategic Marketing and Communications team works to advance the profile and reputation of Oxford Brookes University, as well as support the strategic recruitment of students. The Global Campaigns team is a dynamic pool of marketing professionals working collaboratively across various portfolios to deliver university priorities.
What will I be doing?
Planning and implementing marketing campaigns to build awareness and demand among target audiences. Editing and curating content for digital campaigns, ensuring appropriate tone and language. Commissioning design assets and video production from colleagues. Acting as a campaigns expert on PPC, social media, email, and content marketing. Using analytics to inform content strategy and measure campaign effectiveness. Developing briefs for agencies and suppliers to ensure effective delivery of marketing activities.
What skills do I need?
A marketing degree or equivalent marketing experience. Experience in planning and implementing B2C lead-generation and digital campaigns. Strong communication, project management, and data analysis skills. Familiarity with CRM systems, social media, and analytical tools. Experience within the Higher Education sector (Desirable).
