About this role

Aout the job:

The postholder will be an active member of the research team assisting in the development and pre-clinical and industrial translation of hydrogel-forming microneedle-based drug delivery systems. To assist in the planning and delivery of this research activity so that the overall research objectives of the project are met.

About the preson:

The successful candidate must have, and your application should clearly demonstrate that you meet the following essential criteria:

Have a degree in Pharmacy and eligibility for registration with the Pharmaceutical Society of Northern Ireland or General Pharmaceutical Council Have, or about to obtain*, a PhD in drug delivery/pharmaceutics/ engineering (*must be obtained within 3 months of commencement of employment) Experience of design and manufacture of hydrogel-forming microneedle delivery systems. Recent, relevant, experience in pharmaceutical analysis, including HPLC. Recent relevant research experience. A record of publication in high quality, peer-reviewed, journals commensurate with experience. Knowledge of mass spectrometric detection as used in combination with HPLC Experience of formulation science is desirable. Experience of conducting in vivo animal experiments to evaluate dosage forms is desirable.
