Job Description: Subject Matter Expert Production - Clinton, IA This is an exempt, onsite Supervisory Position
Position Summary: Assists in leading a work group of employees in the production area. Emphasizes and requires safety and compliance with all state and federal laws & regulations in the performance of all work. Develop employees and promote a work climate where they do their best. Leads by example fostering an atmosphere of trust and cooperation. Openly communicates information to others. Works with other supervisors and members of management to coordinate the use of Company resources in keeping with established policies, procedures, and plant priorities.
Job Responsibilities: • Assist employees when they need help. • Walk long distances, climb ladders and stairs, order supplies • Manage their shift, trouble shoot process and mechanical problems • Work closely with the Department Superintendent • Complete timely paperwork • Conduct department audits and employee safety audits • Give daily toolbox safety meetings • Supervise hourly employees. Required Skills: • Knowledge of materials, methods, terminology, equipment and tools used in the maintenance and repair of manufacturing structures and systems. • Previous work experience managing people and maintenance activities. • Ability to lead and supervise a team Education Requirements: • High School diploma or equivalent Before applying for an exempt, non-exempt or hourly job opportunity, you are expected to initiate a discussion and share your intentions with your supervisor. * If you’ve been in your current position for more than 18 months, supervisor approval is not required. * If you’ve been in your current position for less than 18 months, verbal supervisor approval is required. : Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Hourly and salaried non-exempt employees will also be paid overtime pay when working qualifying overtime hours.
