Position Summary The Third Party Logistics Manager serves as the primary point of contact for ADM's strategic customers and prospective accounts. This role is responsible for developing strong customer relationships, identifying new business opportunities, and growing profitable revenue across the company's third party transportation network. Working closely with Sales, Customer Service, and Operations, the Logistics Manager develops transportation solutions that align with customer needs while maximizing network efficiency and profitability. The Logistics Manager also supervises the Carrier sales team to ensure department objectives, growth strategies, and service expectations are achieved.
Job Responsibilities • Develop and maintain relationships with existing customers while identifying and securing new business opportunities that support company growth objectives. • Own strategic customer relationships and serve as the primary commercial contact for key accounts. • Develop and execute sales strategies with sales team to grow revenue, increase market share, and expand wallet share within existing accounts. • Prospect, qualify, and convert new customers through active account management, referrals, and industry engagement. • Partner with Truck Traffic, Operations, and Customer Service to develop competitive transportation solutions that meet customer requirements while optimizing profitability. • Prepare and present pricing proposals, transportation solutions, and service offerings to prospective and existing customers. • Lead customer contract negotiations, pricing discussions, and annual business reviews. • Develop account growth strategies, revenue forecasts, budgets, and key performance metrics. • Monitor customer activity, transportation trends, and competitive market conditions to identify growth opportunities and emerging risks. • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure successful onboarding, implementation, and ongoing execution of customer business. • Identify opportunities to improve customer experience, service offerings, and operational performance. • Gather customer feedback to support continuous improvement of transportation solutions and service capabilities. • Supervise the account management and carrier sales teams, providing coaching, performance management, and professional development. • Recruit, train, and develop team members to support business growth and sales objectives. • Provide timely and accurate business growth, revenue, and profitability forecasts. Job Requirements • Demonstrated success in business development, transportation sales, freight brokerage, third-party logistics, or related commercial roles. • Previous leadership or supervisory experience preferred. • Proven ability to develop new business and grow existing customer relationships. • Strong negotiation, presentation, and relationship management skills. • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including experience conducting customer meetings and sales presentations. • Strong commercial acumen with the ability to develop profitable transportation solutions. • Entrepreneurial mindset with a results-oriented approach to business development. • Ability to independently generate new revenue while managing multiple customer relationships. • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills. • Working knowledge of freight brokerage, transportation management, third-party logistics, and supply chain operations. • Previous experience selling transportation solutions within food, feed, agriculture, or industrial markets preferred. • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint); CRM experience preferred. • Willingness to travel as needed to support customer meetings, business development, and industry events. • Bachelor's degree preferred.

: Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Hourly and salaried non-exempt employees will also be paid overtime pay when working qualifying overtime hours.
